About the National Cyber Crime Conference

The National Cyber Crime Conference is one of the world's premier cyber training events for law enforcement investigators, prosecutors, and forensic examiners. The first NCCC was held in 2012. Working together with our remarkable team of instructors, keynotes, exhibitors, and partners we have grown exponentially over the past 12 years. Today the NCCC is known for its aggressive agenda, which is always packed with hundreds of sessions on the most critical topics delivered by some of the world's top cyber experts. And we offer this training for low cost in light of the resource challenges we all face every day.

Attendance at the NCCC is restricted to actively employed law enforcement/prosecutorial agency investigators, forensic examiners, prosecutors and respective support personnel. Those who do not satisfy the criteria will receive email notification that their registration is declined.  Any payment made will be promptly refunded.

Agenda.  As detailed above, we are known for an agenda that features hundreds of sessions. It takes months to finalize the agenda. We expect to publish the final version in early April of 2024. To get a window into the training content, please take a look at the 2023 NCCC Agenda

Public Health Law Center: Legal Landscape of Flavored Tobacco Products https://mcaa-mn.org/events/EventDetails.aspx?id=1845174 https://mcaa-mn.org/events/EventDetails.aspx?id=1845174 The second webinar will take place on April 24th from 12:00 – 1:00pm CST, and the topic will be  the Legal Landscape of Flavored Tobacco Products.  The webinar will be moderated by Minnesota Team Lead Senior Staff Attorney Rachel Callanan and presented by Staff Attorney Marisa Katz and Staff Attorney Willow Anderson.  With flavors like berry lemonade, pineapple ice, and many variations of mint, “cool”, and “frost” products, flavored commercial tobacco products have become a primary tactic to get youth to start using commercial tobacco and keep them hooked. In commercial tobacco control policy, the legal landscape of flavored tobacco product regulation continues to evolve at the federal, state, and local levels. Thirty jurisdictions in Minnesota have already adopted some form of local policy to restrict the sale of flavored tobacco products. This hour-long webinar will provide an overview of the legal landscape for regulating these products including the FDA’s anticipated rules prohibiting menthol in cigarettes and all characterizing flavors in cigars, state and local sales bans on flavored products around the country, how such policies have withstood legal challenges brought by the tobacco industry and what these lawsuits mean for Minnesota communities interested in restricting flavored tobacco products. This session will conclude with lessons learned from jurisdictions that have successfully enacted and defended flavor restriction policies, including how to craft a strong law and how to best avoid potential pitfalls. Register here

If anyone would like the opportunity to review resources that will be discussed in the webinar ahead of time, feel free to review the following:

If you are unable to attend, the webinar recordings will be posted on the Public Health Law Center’s webinar page within a few days of the event (please click here to view). Attorneys may be interested to learn that Public Health Law Center has applied for On Demand CLE credit, so if attorneys are not able to attend live, they can watch the recording and still receive free CLE credit.

There is still time to submit your proposal for the36th Annual OJP Conference on Crime and Victimization, an in-person event with workshop options offered over two days.

This year the conference will take place during the week of May 20-24, 2024 with the specific dates and the exact location still being decided (two days, one evening).

The conference is designed to provide a forum for compelling topics, informed practice, and emerging responses, presented by subject matter experts in crime victim services and allied disciplines. All sessions will be offered in-person.

Forms and details:

  • Find the Conference proposal form here. We've listed a few ideas for inspiration and to encourage topics that span the wide range of crime victimization, and issues related to responding to crime victim survivors. A proposal information sheet to guide potential presenters through the details can be found here.
  • Location: The location of the conference will be determined by a competitive Request for Proposal process to vendors/conference hosts. We're committed to providing an inclusive, accessible space for everyone to learn, share, and engage with one other. Once a location has been determined, it will be shared on our webpage.
  • Time Frame: Last year, we scaled back from the historical three-day event down to two days and one evening and received enough positive feedback to try it again. This approach makes sense for those traveling, wanting to come for the day, or participate in the full conference experience.
